We now live in the Alpujarra region of Andalucía, southern Spain - where we have been for over seven years now
Our house (Cortijo Garcia Montenegro) is in the small "Cortijada" (basically a collection of farms or a hamlet) of Montenegro. We are only a couple of hundred metres from the GR-7 footpath - that runs from Portugal to Greece - and a few kilometeres below the boundary of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park.
Vicki (full name .. Vicki Jane Bray, maiden name: Collins) comes from the south-east of England - mostly Horsham
John (full name .. Christopher John Bray) comes from the north-west of England, mostly Bury.
In my earlier years I was an avionics technician working mainly with helicopters.
Before moving to Spain, I used to work in electronics - mostly for the railway industry. I was involved with electronics design as well as periods in sales, marketing and PR.
Nowadays my time is mostly spent in growing food,
looking after the land (see here),
tinkering with web-site stuff and producing pictures.
